Itinerary

Day - 1

Nainital – Ascent to the Lake City

Arrive at Delhi Airport/Railway Station and meet your representative for a scenic drive to Nainital. As you ascend into the Kumaon hills, the air turns crisp and the landscape lush. Nainital, the "Gem of Uttarakhand," is centered around the emerald Naini Lake and surrounded by seven majestic hills. Known for its pleasant climate year-round, it offers a perfect blend of adventure, colonial heritage, and natural beauty. Check into your hotel and spend the evening enjoying the serene lakeside atmosphere.

Day - 2

Nainital – Lakes, Zoos & Candle Shopping

Embark on a lake tour of the lower Himalayan range, visiting Sattal (Seven Lakes), Naukuchiatal (Lake of Nine Corners), and the expansive Bhimtal Lake. Later, visit the Nainital High Altitude Zoo, home to endangered species like the Tibetan wolf, leopard cat, and snow leopard. In the evening, stroll along the Mall Road, famous for its unique, locally handmade candles in varied shapes and sizes—a perfect souvenir. Enjoy the vibrant market atmosphere before dinner.

Day - 3

Nainital – Viewpoints & Governor's Heritage

Start the day with a visit to Tiffin Top (Dorothy's Seat) for awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Himalayas; you can trek or take a pony ride to the summit. Experience the Nainital Ropeway for a bird's-eye view of the pear-shaped Naini Lake and the town. Visit the sacred Naina Devi Temple, one of the 64 Shakti Peeths. Explore the Raj Bhawan (Governor’s House), a Gothic-style mansion reminiscent of Buckingham Palace, and its 18-hole golf course set in a forest. Conclude with a peaceful boat ride on Naini Lake during sunset.

Day - 4

Corbett – The Land of Roar

Drive to Jim Corbett National Park, India’s oldest national park and a premier tiger reserve nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. En route, stop at the Garjiya Devi Temple, a sacred shrine perched on a large rock in the middle of the Kosi River, known for its spiritual calm and panoramic views. Upon arrival in Corbett, check into your resort. Spend the afternoon taking a nature walk along the Kosi River, a paradise for bird watchers, or simply relax in the wilderness listening to the sounds of the jungle.

Day - 5

Corbett – Jungle Safari Adventure

Dedicate the day to exploring the wilderness of Corbett. Early morning and afternoon jeep safaris (booked in advance) take you deep into zones like Bijrani, Jhirna, or Dhela. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, wild elephants, and diverse birdlife. For those staying in the Dhikala zone, a Canter safari offers deep jungle penetration into the grasslands. The landscape, varying from marshy depressions to dense Sal forests, is as captivating as the wildlife itself. Return to the resort for a restful evening.

Day - 6

Departure – Memories of the Wild

After a hearty breakfast, check out early for the drive back to Delhi. As you descend from the hills to the plains, carry with you cherished memories of the tranquil lakes of Nainital and the thrilling wilderness of Jim Corbett. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey home.
