Itinerary

Day - 1

Arrival in Leh

Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to your hotel. Today belongs to rest — the altitude demands it. Drink plenty of water, take it slow, and let the mountain air find you gently. In the evening, visit the peaceful Shanti Stupa perched above the city for sweeping views, explore the historic Leh Palace, and wander through the vibrant local market.

Day - 2

Highways, History & Gravity-Defying Hill

After breakfast, head out along the Leh–Srinagar Highway for a day rich in history and natural wonder. The Hall of Fame offers a deeply moving tribute to the Indian Army's courage across multiple wars. Gurudwara Patthar Sahib stands as a sacred memorial to Guru Nanak Dev's visit to this region, while the Kali Mata Temple at Spituk Monastery commands stunning valley views. Experience the baffling Magnetic Hill — where vehicles appear to roll uphill in defiance of gravity — and take in the dramatic confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Sangam.

Day - 3

Over Khardung La into Nubra Valley

Cross the legendary Khardung La Pass at 17,582 ft — one of the highest motorable roads on the planet — with vast snowfields and endless mountain ranges stretching to the horizon. Descend into the warmth of Nubra Valley, a surprising landscape of golden sand dunes, swaying willows, Bactrian camels, and the rushing Shyok River. Check in and spend the afternoon on a camel ride across the dunes or an exhilarating ATV adventure through the valley

Day - 4

Turtuk — Where India Ends

Drive to Turtuk, one of the most remarkable and least visited villages in India. Annexed only after the 1971 war and opened to tourists as recently as 2010, this Balti settlement sits right on the Line of Control and feels like a world apart. Its Muslim inhabitants continue to live by centuries-old traditions — crafting utensils from stone, tending terraced apricot orchards, and preserving a culture found nowhere else in India. Visit the old Royal House, the small Gompas above the Shyok River, and continue to Thang — the last village of India — where the Indo-Pakistan border stretches visibly into the mountains beyond

Day - 5

Nubra to Pangong Tso

A long and breathtaking drive through the remote Shyok Valley leads to Pangong Tso — a lake of extraordinary, almost unreal beauty at 14,000 ft. Stretching 134 km across the Himalayas with more than half lying within Chinese territory, its waters shift from deep sapphire to turquoise to silver as the light changes through the day. Walk along the peaceful shore, watch for migratory birds, and spend the evening in quiet wonder as the mountains mirror themselves in the still water

Day - 6

Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass

After a final sunrise over the lake, drive back towards Leh over the high-altitude Changla Pass — pause at the summit for a steaming cup of tea and sweeping Himalayan views. On the way down, visit the beautifully tiered Thiksey Monastery and the iconic Rancho School before returning to Leh for a well-earned overnight rest

Day - 7

Departure

After a final breakfast, transfer to Kushok Bakula Airport for your onward flight — leaving Ladakh behind, but never quite leaving it behind.
