Itinerary

Day - 1

Phuentsholing – Gateway to the Thunder Dragon

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing, the bustling border town of Bhutan. Upon arrival, complete your entry permit formalities with the assistance of your representative. Check into your hotel and rest, preparing for the ascent into the Himalayas.

Day - 2

Thimphu – Ascent to the Capital

After breakfast, complete any remaining permit formalities and embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the vibrant capital city. The journey takes you through changing landscapes from tropical plains to alpine heights. Arrive in Thimphu and check into your hotel for the night.

Day - 3

Thimphu – Culture & Viewpoints

Explore the capital’s landmarks, starting with the Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower) for panoramic city views. Visit the massive Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point), the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Art School), and the Textile Museum. End the day at "Simply Bhutan" and Zangthopelri Lhakhang.

Day - 4

Punakha – Dochu La Pass & Dzongs

Drive to Punakha via the stunning Dochu La pass (3,080m), offering majestic views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong and walk across the famous Suspension Bridge. Optional white water rafting is available on the Punakha River for adventure seekers.

Day - 5

Gangtey – Phobjikha Valley Excursion

Embark on a full-day excursion to the glacial Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan's most beautiful spots. Visit the Gangtey Goempa and the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre. Enjoy the serenity of this vast nature reserve before returning to Punakha for the night.

Day - 6

Paro – Scenic Drive via Lamperi

After breakfast, bid farewell to the central valleys and drive back towards Paro. Stop again at Dochu La to capture any views missed previously. Arrive in the historic town of Paro, home to the country's only international airport, and check into your hotel.

Day - 7

Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike or Valley Tour

Choose between a full-day local tour covering the National Museum (Ta Dzong) and Rinpung Dzong, OR embark on the iconic hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest). The hike offers a rewarding climb through pine forests to the monastery clinging to a cliffside.

Day - 8

Haa Valley – Chele-La Pass Excursion

Take a day trip to the remote Haa Valley via the Chele-La Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan (3,988m). Explore Haa Dzong and the sacred temples of Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple) before driving back to Paro.

Day - 9

Siliguri – Descent to the Plains

Depart Paro and drive back down to the Indian border. Stop at Phuentsholing and Jaigaon to complete exit and entry immigration formalities. Continue the drive to Siliguri in West Bengal. Check into your hotel for your final night.

Day - 10

Departure – Homeward Bound

After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Depart with unforgettable memories of the dzongs, high passes, and peaceful valleys of the Himalayas.
